    1. Hi there,

You can be accepted if you wear contact lens. Acceptable vision for a cabin crew is 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses – you don’t need to have 20/20 vision to qualify for the position! You should wear your lenses or glasses while taking the vision test.

  2. HI DONA TA I AM ATTENDING THE ASSESSMENT DAY IN CAPETOWN BUT I HAVE SHORT HAIR IS IT A PROBLEM OR NOT? OR THEY ONLY NEED LONG HAIR

    1. Hi there,

It won’t necessarily be an issue as long as you are well groomed otherwise, and your hair is well styled and feminine. Qatar do tend to prefer to have their female crew with long hair however, so it might be an idea to mention that you are planning to grow it out.

  3. Hello miss, I’m preparing my self for Qatar airways open days in Kuala Lumpur.
I cant swim but I’m pretty much confident for rest of the requirements.
    Swimming skill must?

    1. Hi there,

Yes, unfortunately swimming skills are a must! If you are in the process of learning this might help your application, maybe consider an intensive course so that you can learn and meet the requirements? You will not be required to demonstrate your swimming skills until the Cabin Crew training, so this would allow some time.

  7. Dear Concern,

I’m a 22 years old Indian resident keenly interested to work with Qatar Airlines as a Cabin Crew.

I had faced interviews in reputable Airlines viz. SpiceJet and Indigo but got rejected because of tattoos on my hand.

To pursue my interests, I’ve undergone treatment of tattoos removal but a few visible scars are left which by time will be diminished.

I request you to clarify whether I am eligible to apply or not.

    Regards
    Satish Sewani

    1. As long as the scars are fully healed than this shouldn’t be an issue for you to apply, especially if they will fade further still with time.

  8. Hi! I am 25 from the Philippines. I believe I am qualified based on the requirements stated above. Is it okay if I can only speak english and not the local language? However I am very much willing to learn it and the job itself. How to start applying? Thank you!

  12. Hi,
I want to be a cabin crew, currently I’m studying my Level 2 course in NCFE Cabin crew and travel and tourism course. I have got some doubts which I want to clear . With my level 2 course I’m also studying my English GCSEs and maths functional skills, I wanted to know if I don’t pass my maths and English if I can still become a cabin crew. I believe that my English is very good and I have also got one year experience in customer service. Do I still need to study English and maths? If I don’t pass . I have read on some sites where it says you don’t need to have English and maths qualification for cabin crew, whereas with customer service skills experience you can get cc job . I want to work for Qatar Airways or Air India.

          1. Hi there,

Qatar are very strict in their tattoo policy, and they must not be visible at all whilst you are in uniform – so tattoos on the face and neck, the arms and hands, and legs below thigh level are not permitted. You will not be allowed to cover tattoos with concealer or other cosmetics either with Qatar.
