Before you start

It might be helpful to have a copy of your CV to hand. Crafting your CV will enable you to easily remember everything that would make you a perfect fit for Jet2 Cabin Crew.

Maybe your CV needs some polishing? Fear not, our Cabin Crew CV eBook contains all the information and practical examples and tips needed to write a first-class cabin crew CV!

Step 1 –The Application Form

Check our Cabin Crew Jobs Board for the position you’d like to apply for.

Read the job description so see how well you fit with the airline’s ideal candidate – Jet2 place a huge amount of importance on customer service and in taking on friendly, bubbly and upbeat staff!

Your application will take around 30 minutes to complete, including the online assessment. Read on to find out more.

Step 2 – Customer Service Mindset Assessment

It’s best to complete the tests in a quiet place if you can, away from any distractions. Keep paper, pens and a calculator handy for making notes too. You’ll complete an English language test and then answer further situational questions based on the role. We have an eBook specifically aimed at helping you pass these ability tests, which you can check out here.

Step 3 – Phone or Video Interview

If you’re successful, the next step in the recruitment process will be a phone or video interview with someone from the recruitment team. The time and date will be arranged with you beforehand.

The first part of the interview will cover the basic requirements of the job, and make sure you’ve understood both these and the rules and regulations for Jet2 cabin crew.

Next you’ll be asked a few questions relating to your experiences working with the public and providing excellent customer service – make sure you have a few examples in mind for when the phone call comes!

Step 4 – The Assessment Day

If the interview goes well you’ll be invited to attend the airline’s assessment day. You’ll be given details of the date, place and time.

The Jet2 assessment days involve a presentation, a small ‘icebreaker’ exercise and a group exercise. Current Jet2 Cabin Crew will also be on standby for you to chat to and ask any questions you might have. If you stand out to the recruiters you’ll be asked to stay back for a one-to-one interview.

Never experienced an assessment day before? Or just a little bit worried about the idea? Why not download our Cabin Crew Assessment Day eBook – it’s full of information and advice to help you be at your absolute best on the day!

Step 5 –The Interview

If you’re called back for the final interview stage then well done! This is your big chance to convince the recruiters that YOU are the person they should hire.

Worried about how best to answer the questions? Have a look at our guide to the interview process.

After the interview the recruitment team will take away your whole file for evaluation. They’ll normally let you know within a week what the outcome is.

Final checks

If the news is good and the airline want to take you on there are checks that need to be carried out, a background check and a medical examination.

As long as you’ve been honest in your application you’ll have nothing to worry about. Please note that you will have to cover the cost of these checks yourself.

Once the checks have been completed successfully you’ll be required to complete a five week training course at the Jet2 training centre in Bradford. The course costs £700, and you will have to arrange your own travel and accommodation.

This may seem like a lot of money upfront, however, once your employment with Jet2 starts you’ll receive a bonus of £100 per month for perfect attendance. This will be held by the airline each month and given to you as a lump sum at the end of the contract.

If you do really well during the season you’ll be likely to be given priority if you wish to reapply the following year!
