Each airline will have a slightly different recruitment process but for all of them you will need to apply by application form or more usually CV/ resume, then wait to see if you are invited for an interview/ assessment day. This will depend on how well you have written your CV and what experience you have. How you perform at interview/ assessment day will determine whether you are offered a position.

It will vary between different airlines, but its best to prepare for some standard questions (i.e. about your knowledge of the job and industry), some motivation type questions (why you want the job and what you could bring to it) and some competency based questions. It will vary between different airlines, but its best to prepare for all eventualities! This could be group exercises, roleplays, psychometric testing. Usually you will have an interview, but you will have to wait and see if there will be other exercises, but the airline will usually tell you roughly what to expect beforehand.
The best way to make sure you are on the right track is usually to get some professional help. It depends how keen you are to get in straight away. If it doesn’t matter if you have a go and are unsuccessful then just jump in and see what happens!
