Qantas Cabin Crew Requirements 2024

Qantas are recognised as Australia’s biggest domestic and international airline. The airline, founded in the Queensland outback, is the third oldest airline in the world and also owns the low-cost Australian airline Jetstar.

Base:

The Qantas headquarters are located Sydney, Australia however they recruit for international crew based in their home country.

Cabin Crew Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Height between 163 – 183cm
  • Minimum reach of 212cm from the ground (fingertips must reach past 212cm, enabling overhead emergency equipment to be reached)
  • Minimum arm span of 127cm (knuckles must reach at least 127cm apart, replicating the holding of emergency aircraft exit door handles)
  • Applications can only be considered for candidates who have the right to work in the United Kingdom without restriction or sponsorship
  • An excellent level of health and fitness, including the ability to swim 50 metres fully clothed and tread water for 3 minutes, unassisted. A water assessment will need to be completed prior to start of training
  • The ability to demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills to effectively follow or implement safety instructions
  • Demonstrable customer service experience in a premium service environment

Salary:

Average Cabin Crew salary with Qantas is £24,000
