Fixed roster pattern for Cabin Crew at Wizz Air
How a fixed roster pattern could benefit your life
Wizz Air will introduce a fixed roster pattern for Cabin Crew, beginning in October 2022.
The aim is to improve work-life balance for Cabin Crew. This will be achieved by increasing the predictability of rosters, to allow Cabin Crew to better plan ahead.
The strategy will not affect the airline’s operational stability, but instead be an exciting new development for the airline and Cabin Crew alike.
The fixed roster pattern will likely differ between bases, but most Cabin Crew will be permitted to select a flexible or fixed pattern based on personal choice.
“I am excited to offer our crew the option to choose a fixed roster pattern. We welcome current and future employees to choose their schedule based on their own individual preferences. I believe that this flexibility will further support the work-life balance of our crew, making Wizz Air an even better place to work.”
Roland Tischner, Operations Officer
What is a fixed roster pattern?
A fixed roster pattern gives Cabin Crew the chance to know their schedule in advance and plan in advance.
Whereas a flexible roster means that Cabin Crew won’t know what their flying hours and routes will be from one month to the next, a fixed roster provides more stability.
The Cabin Crew lifestyle is renowned for being up and down, with anti-social hours and the heartache of working over Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and other major life events. A fixed roster will give Cabin Crew a better ability to book holidays in advance, work around other commitments and plan further into the future.
