Handwriting CV

Before you start the easyJet Recruitment Process

You’ll need a copy of your current CV saved in either Microsoft Word or PDF format.

Get your CV reviewed by our experts so that you know easyJet will accept it.

Step 1 –The Application Form

The first step in the easyJet Cabin Crew recruitment process is to fill out the online application, which shouldn’t take longer than 30 minutes.

Check our Cabin Crew Jobs Board to access the position that you want to apply for.

Read the job description carefully – this lists all of the qualifications and requirements that the airline is looking for.

You will be asked to create a user ID. Then you can upload your CV either directly through the easyJet application portal, or you can import it from your LinkedIn profile. Software will automatically extract the relevant information from your CV, so make sure you check it and correct any details manually if required.

The easyJet recruitment process uses specialised software to scan your CV and match it against the requirements they have for Cabin Crew. So it’s really important your CV is up to scratch!

We can help with this – our Cabin Crew CV Review service will tell you what you might have missed out and how you can improve your CV to make it stand out from the crowd!

You’ll need to fill out your personal details before answering some basic questions confirming your suitability for the role. So make sure you check those Cabin Crew Requirements!

Once you’ve completed and submitted the application you’ll be sent an email confirming your application has been received.

Step 2 – The Online Tests

If your application meets the basic requirements you’ll be sent an invitation via email to take an online verbal reasoning, situational judgement and workplace behaviour tests. Remember to check your spam folder in case this slips through the net!

Full instructions are provided, and you’ll be given the chance to complete some practice questions before you start. The tests should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

It’s important to be prepared:

  • Set aside time for the assessment when you know you are unlikely to be disturbed
  • Try to complete the assessment in a quiet place away from distractions
  • Equip yourself for taking notes with pens/pencils, paper and a calculator

Nervous about this stage? It’s normal to find it a bit daunting!

Don’t worry though, we have you covered. Our Cabin Crew Ability (psychometric) tests workbook is filled with practice questions (and answers!) to help you breeze through these types of tests when it counts.

Step 3 – Next steps in the Recruitment Process

iOS email alert

You’ll receive your test results within 72 hours. If you’re successful your application will be reviewed. If recruiters like the look of it, you’ll receive an email inviting you to the next stage in the easyJet cabin crew recruitment process – the Assessment Centre. For 2022 opportunities, this will be a virtual assessment event.

Because of the volume of applications the airline receives this may take a little time to be sent, so try not to panic if it doesn’t come through straight away.

Step 4 – The Assessment Day

Next in the process is the virtual assessment day. You might feel a bit anxious, especially if you haven’t participated in one of these before.

You can give yourself a head start by checking out our Cabin Crew Assessment Day eBook, which is bursting with information to help you shine on your assessment day. The information is relevant whether it be an in-person Assessment Centre, or a virtual event.

You’ll be informed of the date and time well in advance.

Typically the easyJet Assessment Centre will include:

  • easyJet presentation
  • Chance to meet the recruitment team
  • Group exercises
  • Competency-based interview where you can showcase your passion and enthusiasm for the Cabin Crew role

You’ll have the chance to ask existing easyJet employees any questions you might have during the day too!

Remember – you’ve already done really well just making it through to the Assessment Centre stage, as competition for easyJet crew is really tough!

Step 5 –The Interview

This final interview will likely last around 30-40 minutes and contains more questions to assess your suitability for the role.

This gives you the opportunity to really prove yourself to the recruiters. You can reference examples from your past experiences and give detailed answers to show that you have the skills that they are looking for.

We’ve put together a handy article to help you shine during the virtual recruitment process.

Preparation is absolutely key here!

This is your big chance to convince the recruiters that YOU are the person that the airline wants on their crew. It’s never too early to get ready – see our guide here.

Following the interview your whole application and performance will be considered.

Because easyJet tends to employ a larger amount of candidates at a time quite often successful applicants will be placed in a ‘holding pool’.

Don’t worry if this happens to you – while you wait the airline will use this time to carry our the final pre-employment checks and organise your training.

You’ll be allocated an ‘On-board Co-ordinator’ who will be your point of contact during this time.

Final checks

The checks will include following up references, criminal record checks and examining your work background for the last five years (including any gaps which must be accounted for).

You’ll also have to have a straightforward medical examination done to show you’re fit to fly.

After this you’ll be given a date for beginning your pre-employment training at the easyJet Academy at Luton Airport. You’ll be given some online e-learning coursework to do at home before you begin too.

So, feel like you could crew for easyJet and spread a little of that ‘Orange Spirit’?!
